This class of four dates is for people new to woodworking or have limited exposure on the equipment available in our shop.  Students will build a tool-tote box or  foot stool.  Sign up for this class by putting name, telephone #, and chose of project on the notice posted on the shop bulletin board.


SCW Woodworking Club Orientation Class

All new Woodworking Club members must attend this class. Each Orientation Class lasts 3-days for 2-hours each day. The applicant will have full membership privileges and responsibilities upon orientation class completion. To sign up for an orientation class, go to the wood shop and ask for the New Member Sign-up red book. Class size is limited to 18.

  • December students are paying dues for December and the following year.

Basic Woodworking Classes

Basic Woodworking Classes are offered regularly for members wanting a solid hands on learning experience of the most often used machines in our machine room. These classes will focus on correct and safe operation of the jointer, planners, table saws, miter saws, band saws, drill presses, power sanders and more as time allows. Cost of these classes is $5.00 plus the cost of material which will be supplied from the wood shop lumber room.

Option 1 is a Tool Tote:

Students in this class will build a simple carpenters tool tote. This tote will find many uses around the your home besides the obvious of carrying tools; like one place for all house hold cleaning supplies, irrigation supplies and tools or grandsons favorite beach toys. The current cost of this class is $20.00. No Classes schedule for the summer. We will do our best to arrange a class, if there is a need before September.
